Google Wifi Access Point not connecting

Menter-Cleaver

Having difficulty getting Google Wifi AP s connected the main Google Wifi Router.

My internet connection was working just fine today.  I unplugged the main router and POOF…everything got messed up.  Lots of turning off and on again, factory resetting of all nodes, even deleting my entire Google Home and deleting app and starting fresh.
I’m at the point now where I have the network set up BUT access points don’t connect.  I get this screen.

Hi Menter-Cleaver,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the late reply. I'd love to know more about what's happening, and I have a few questions:

  • How many Google WiFi points lost their connection?
  • What is the light status of the Google WiFi points?

You could also check out this link for some troubleshooting steps you could try.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,
Edward

Thanks for the response but I already switched to Netgear Orbi.

  • How many Google WiFi points lost their connection? 3 out of 4 access points could not connect to the mesh network.  Only main router access point connected to modem worked.
  • What is the light status of the Google WiFi points?  Pulsing blue.

Hi, Menter-Cleaver.
I just wanted to jump in real fast to see if you saw Edward's last reply and to see if you still needed some help on this or if you were able to get it sorted out. If you are still needing some help, just let us know and we'll be happy to continue helping.
Thanks.

No help needed.  I switched to another mesh network.

To be completely honest if feedback is wanted, all of the problems I had with Google Wifi occurred after the forced adoption of Google Home from the Google Wifi app.  Loved Google Wifi but this new app made it useless.

Hi Menter-Cleaver,

I'm sorry to hear that you've already replaced your Google WiFi devices. If you still have your Google WiFi devices, you could try setting up one of the points as the router to isolate the issue.

Thanks,
Edward
