The primary Nest wifi router is connected to the DSL modem in the master bedroom. I am using a 2nd Nest wifi router as a point in my home office and a test of the mesh system says it has a great connection. I would like to plug my laptop directly into the 2nd router via ethernet, but when I do, the computer tells me there's no internet. Did I miss a step somewhere in the process? How do I make the ethernet cable work from the 2nd router? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you all for the suggestions. I ended up doing a full factory reset on the mesh wifi (router and points). Once that was done and everything connected, I plugged my laptop into the Ethernet port of the point (router) and restarted my laptop. That did the trick and all seems to be working properly now.

Which port did you plug it into? I think you'd need to use the <...> port, not the globe (WAN) port. Although it should be smart enough to realise it's a secondary device and let you use either port...I only ever had one router so never got to try it out.

I am plugged into the LAN port <...>, but my computer doesn't seem to recognize it as it says "No Internet".

Hi, evans_t.
When you mention second router, are you running two Nest WiFi routers, or are you referring to a WiFi point with an ethernet port, such as what the Google WiFi points have? Are you able to take a picture of the connection ports on the point that is giving you trouble?
Thanks,
- Jeff
