I got my 2nd Gen Nest Wifi Model HD2 back in 2020. I used it for about 1.5 years and it worked great! Connected easily and worked on the app and with all my 15 3rd party light bulbs (Merkury, UV), 2 Indoor LED Light+2 Outdoor LED Strip Strips 3 Goggle Max Speakers, 3 nest mini speakers, 4 google home speaker, Nest Hub Max, Nest Hub, MagniFi Soundsystem, Sony Soundbar w/ google wifi dongle, 5 wifi plugs, 2 Nest Protect, 1 Nest Camera, 2 Merkury Camera, 2 Water/Moisture Detectors. So, you can see I know how to auto mixes and synch my “Smart House”. My ISP Provider Modem and Google Nest Wifi Router are in the SAME position they are always in, plugged in together.
Anyways, things happened in my personal life and I didn’t have Internet for about 8 months. I then Re-Subcribed with the same ISP again. The only difference between this time that I re-subscribed is that I got a downgraded ISP Router (from the New Elongated Rectangular 3.5’ Tall Tower~ to the Old School looking small rectangular “hi-tron” style Router that we were used to in the mid-late 2000’s and 2010’s.
I decided too reconnect my Nest H2D as I have dead spots in specific areas of my house. I deleted the Old Nest wifi Network from my phone and in the wifi-settings. And, it was deleted from my home app. I also Factory Reset the Google Nest multiple times! And, the light on the Nest still stays solid yellow after a full manual reset. I’ve performed ALL suggested actions from Google in Trouble Shooting (unplugged, waited. Replugged. Waited, waited, and waited some more. Allowing MORE than enough time of 10-20-40 mins at times too allow for full factory reset! But, too no avail… during factory reset. The Color’s blink all the appropriate Color’s and pulsating/blinking whilst in process of Factory Resetting. But, it never goes too blinking White or is Recognized by my Google Home App too setup…
So, Everything is in the same spot and hooked up as before. Only difference is the new downgraded router and New ISP provided older school looking Router.
The only thing I haven’t tried. Is Re-Installing my Google Home App. But, I don’t see how that would work…
I’m not a Newb when it comes too this stuff… But, I’m stumped! What is Wrong?
Hopefully, Some Tech Angel out there can Assist Me 🤓🙏🏻
