New ISP & new Nest System

I am switching to a new ISP. I purchased a new Nest Wifi System. My current Google Wifi Mesh system is 5 years old. In what order should I install the new system? I prefer to not have to change network names or passwords so all of the devices would not have to be reset. I'm afraid to factory reset the old system in case I mess things up and we wouldn't have Internet.

  1. Can I keep the older network running while I set up the new network, or do I need to factory reset the old system first?
  2. Are there step-by-step instructions online for accomplishing my goal?

I'd factory reset your existing network in Google Home, as you can only have one network per Google Home home.

Then set up your new network, using the same network name (SSID) and password.

I don't work for Google.
