Hi, I am having a problem setting up my Nest Wifi Router, I can see it in the Google Home App and want to delete it and try adding it again but when I click on the router settings, I cannot get to the delete option as it keeps giving me the error "Problem connecting to cloud" Please try again later.

Thanks

Hey, CRH.

Sorry for the delayed response here. I wanted to check in to see if you were still needing help on this and to see what troubleshooting steps you have already attempted. Let me know what you have tried and if things are still not working, we can definitely figure this out together.

Thanks.

Hi Jeff!  I am just trying to set up my Nest Thermostat and having the same error....it's getting cold so I'd love to be able to kick my heat on!!  🙂  I have walked through the step per the app, scanned the QR code, and it says it cannot connect to the cloud...

Hey, Havritt81.

Have you tried resetting your Cloud Services connection through the Home app? I'll put the instructions below.

Open the Google Home app.

  1. Tap the WiFi icon.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Select Privacy settings.

  4. Toggle Nest WiFi cloud services OFF and wait for 30 seconds, then back ON.

Once done, close the Home app and perform a full network restart to ensure that the new settings are in place. To do this, I would recommend doing a power cycle on your network.

  1. Disconnect the power adapter and the Ethernet cable from the Nest WiFi router.

  2. Disconnect the power adapter from the Nest WiFi points.

  3. Disconnect the power adapter from the modem. Allow all devices to stay disconnected from the power for 5 minutes.

  4. Connect the power back to the modem only and wait for it to fully back up. All lights should be lit up before moving to the next step.

  5. After the modem is back online, connect the Ethernet cable back to Nest WiFi router's WAN port (globe symbol port).

  6. Connect the power back to the Nest WiFi router and to the Nest WiFi points. Wait until they're all fully back on.

Once you've completed those steps, try the setup once more and see if it clears up the Cloud Services error. If things are still failing to progress, please let me know and I'll be happy to look into more steps with you.

Thanks.
