I have Gb internet. When I test the speed, with my laptop, at the Fiber to Ethernet converter provided by my ISP, I get average speeds of 940 down x 940 up Mbps.

I remove the Ethernet connection from my laptop and plug into the Google WiFi router and test the speed with the Google Home > WiFi app I get 480 down x 850 up Mbps.

When I plug the laptop into the LAN port of the Google Wifi, I average close to 900 x 900 Mbps.

What is wrong with the WiFi?

Thank you.

Im having the same issue. I disabled Wifi on the main router too in case it was causing interference but it made no difference. Can anyone advise please?

Same here, it is super annoying. Will try to sell this stuff as apparently nobody from Google wants to help or acknowledge

Hi, everyone.

Sorry for the issues you're having with your network speeds. This is actually a known issue and we're working on it internally. We've been gathering reports and hopefully we'll have an update soon to address the issue.

Again, sorry for the frustration this is causing, but we are working on it now.

Thanks.

Hey, everyone.

As you can imagine, we have several different ongoing discussions revolving around this now. As our teams are aware of the issue and are actively working on a fix, I'm going to go ahead and close this thread, but we'll keep the community updated with any new announcements and developments. Thanks for being patient with us on this and I'm sorry for any and all frustration it's causing.

Thanks.
