Batteries run down in a day or so, unable to use guest locks

I've been having a lot of issues with the Nest lock and app lately. Yale lock said it looks like it's continuously dropping offline and I should contact you. Here are the problems.
1. The batteries die very quickly within a day or so.
2. None of the lock codes work anymore ever, except the master code, which always works.
3. I can consistently unlock through the app, but locking often stops working entirely from the app. I can usually get it working again by removing a battery then adding it back.

This all started happening in the past month and I've had the lock for 1-2 years. One problem I've always had is that the lock status on the app is often not synced with lock itself. It'll says it's unlocked when it's actually locked and vice versa.

Are you using energizer max batteries? Nest products don’t like other batteries

I was trying Amazon Basics, then switched to Duracell. Finally think it's all working now after a factory reset and deleting all of the guest accounts, then re-adding. It might have been deleting all the guest codes codes and re-adding that did it.

I'll keep an eye on it and switch to Energizer if it happens again. Thank you!

Hey folks.

Yes, as @S3bryan stated, only Energizer Max batteries can be used. Other batteries will not yield the same results.
