I would like to install a camera in my basement in order to monitor that I have no water pipe bursts during the winter season while I am out of town. The basement is totally concrete and has no exposure to the elements except cold. Temperatures in the basement could conceivably drop into the 20s. I really want to use the wired camera in order to avoid the inconvenience of constant recharging. Can I use the indoor camera in this situation? I do not anticipate any movement whatsoever in the basement so I would only turn on the camera every two or three days and note whether everything looked ok. (In other words, it should not need to record any events).
