I cannot add guest codes to my Yale lock due to a bug in the Nest app.
You cannot use the Google Home app to add guests. You cannot use the web site either since it only allows adding family members (is there a reason for this? If the website allowed doing this, at least there would be a work-around). So, your only choice is to use the Nest app. But, when you try to add a guest via the Nest app, every time you get an error that says:
"Something went wrong. Please try that again."
Needless to say, trying it again gives you the same result.
This is a known bug. It was first reported in July 2021. Is this ever going to be addressed? Because I'm seriously thinking about throwing away this lock given that it lacks the very basic and necessary function of providing guest codes. To me, that was the biggest advantage over a traditional lock and now the feature is effectively gone.

I called customer service and they figured it out for me. I forget exactly what fixed it because we tried many things, but it was something really simple like rebooting the lock (which I had already done more than once… so don’t ask me!).

That’s odd, both my Yale locks via the nest app have no issues adding guests. I just did it two weeks ago
