Locked phone on another device

I don't know if this was s the right topic but I was trying to set up data on my other phone and it asked that it needed a lock on my screen and it'was working fine with out having to open it with the pin and then I put it to charge  while off accounts turned it on and I need a pin now to open it I don't remember what the pin was will I do but it's not letting me in

i am not sure but turn it off and wait for atleast 45 seconds. Turn it on & try
