Missing setting icon on Yale Digital door Lock

Hey 
Yale digital lock is working fine through the nest app and manually at the door screen! The only thing missing is the setting icon on the door Yale digital screen! For some reason it is missing and I can’t reset my pin code! Please advise

Hi Ish,

 

Thanks for visiting the Community. I’m sorry to hear that and for the delayed response. You have two options to change your pass code by performing a factory reset on your Nest x Yale lock or thru the Nest app. 


Here’s how:

  1. On the Nest app home screen, tap Settings Nest settings icon.
  2. Tap Family & Guests family and guests icon.
  3. Tap You to change your own pass code.
  4. Tap Pass code.
    If you sign in with a Nest Account, you’ll enter your account password, minimize your phone’s keyboard, and press Continue.
  5. Enter a pass code, you’ll remember between 4 to 8 digits long.
    Note: If another person is using this pass code, a notification will pop-up to prompt you to Choose a different pass code. Pass code, must be unique so you can see who armed and disarmed your Guard or locked and unlocked your lock in History app history icon.
  6. Tap Show pass code to view the pass code.
  7. Tap Save. If you sign in with a Google Account, you’ll receive an email that your pass code has been changed.

it's not resolved! The issue is that on the key lock the setting # is not showing and the problem still persisted!

hey JT, it's great that you are checking but i have no instructions to fix the problem! the setting icon is missing from the YALE key. I followed and reinstalled it and checked the wires but the problem persisted. what else?

Got it, thanks for your efforts here. Let’s have a better look — could you please factory reset your lock then let me know if that helps? Otherwise, we’ll be needing the help of Yale support to replace your Nest x Yale Lock as it may be defective.
