Nest Camera and Doorbell

Good evening. I have a Nest Camera and Doorbell. To the best of my knowledge, it is neither a Nest Secure or a Nest Yale Lock product: however, to submit the issue I'm dealing with I had to choose one of these two products listed in the "Product" drop-down. That said, here's the problem... the camera works; however, when the doorbell button is pressed I do not receive any sound notification to alert me that someone is at the door. Any help to rectify this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alan

Do you have "Push notifications" enabled in the settings for your doorbell?

Do you have the Google Home app or Google Nest app (depending on your doorbell) enabled under Settings | Notifications on your iPhone?

Note that the notification sound is the default notification sound in iOS.

In iOS 17.2, you can now pick which default notification sound you want, under Settings | Sounds & Haptics | Default Alerts.

If you have the older Google Nest Hello Doorbell that works in the Google Nest app, you should get a doorbell chime sound.
