Nest Connect won't connect to WiFi

RcLorenzi

I have installed a Yale Lock with Nest Connect. Nest connect will not connect to WiFi. It is pluged in and inches from my Eero booster, (which I temp. put on 2.4GHz), I have done 3 factory resets on it, I have never had a problem setting up any other google product. I have wasted hour on this 😤.  Any ideas out there

Hi RcLorenzi,

Thanks for posting here in the community forum. I’m sorry to know that the Nest Connect is not connecting to your Wi-Fi network. Don’t worry; it is a pleasure to be able to assist you.

I’m grateful for your time and effort in completing the troubleshooting steps described in the post, so to provide you with accurate information, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • When and from where was the device purchased?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the device you want to pair?
  • How far have you gotten in pairing your device?
  • Do you see an error code displayed on the app?

In the meantime, try to follow these troubleshooting steps:

  • Use a mobile hotspot to set up the Nest Connect, and check if you’re experiencing the same behavior.
  • Create a new home structure in the app and try to pair the device there.

Keep me posted so I can provide you with further assistance.

Best regards,

Daniel
