Nest Connect

I am not able to connect the Nest Connect module to either my Nest app or Google Home app. The Nest app just keeps showing a smoke detector with a flashing circle and states "assisting product" and below it says "connecting" but it does not. On the Google Home app, I chose "bridge to connect to, but it states this codes is not what you are looking for. I have reset the Nest Connect module several times "showing flashing blue light", but the green light will not come on. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Let me ask you some questions to pin down the issue: 

 

  • Please tell me what type of Nest Connect module you have?
  • Have you tried resetting the module multiple times? If so, what happens when you try to connect it to your apps? 
  • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Nest app or Google Home app?

Additionally, please tell me the model number of your router, and whether you've tried restarting it or using a different Wi-Fi network. Any other details about the issue would be helpful as well.
