Nest Connect

We acquired a new property that had both the Yale lock and Nest connect but we wanted to change the entry key code.   I was able to reset the Yale lock and am now able to assign a new key code, but the Nest Connect will not connect to the wifi.    I've done all the troubleshooting steps without success.   My iphone is on the same wifi as the Nest Connect.   Before I reset my Yale lock, the Nest connect would flash blue and then turn green, but now it flashes blue and never turns green.   When trying to add the Nest Connect to the Nest App, it says "something went wrong" and never connects.  Nest connect is within 5 feet of router.  Laptop computer is connected to wifi without problem so wifi is working.  I've moved Nest connect right beside the router, still won't connect.   Please help

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Check out the steps below and let me know how it goes.


  1. Hold down the button on the bottom of Nest Connect until the LED light turns yellow. 
  2. If the message persists, press and hold the bottom button until the LED light turns yellow and then blue. This action should reset Nest Connect to factory default.
    • Pair it back, if possible.
