Nest Hello cam on NVidia Shield.

I see that the Nest app is available but since I have migrated my account to Google home, it does not allow me to log in with my Google account.

Is there any other way to get my Nest Hello doorbell cam, as well as my other Google cameras to display through the NVidia Shield?

I was able to get the doorbell cam to work on the Shield but so far, no luck with the other Google cameras.

Hello everyone,

@Pegasus69, thanks for getting back to us. We're glad to hear that you're able to find a way to link your Nest Doorbell to your NVidia Shield. How's it going with your Nest migrated Google account? Were you able to sign in to the Nest app when you hit the "Sign in with Google" option? We'll wait for your update here.

I appreciate the help, davidking and JT.

Regards,
Emerson

Hi Pegasus69,

We wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Please let us know if you are still having any concerns or questions from here, as we would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Best,
Emerson

Thank you EmersonB and everyone else. I have been able to get the Nest Hello doorbell camera to work on the shield. I even have it set to automatically switch to that view when the doorbell is pressed. The other cameras still will not work. It will accept the command but it then shows a screen saying camera is offline. My assumption being that the Google cameras work through the Google home assistant and the doorbell is through the Nest app. It would have been nice to get all cameras to stream but I was mainly concerned with getting the doorbell so I'll be happy with that. Thank you all again for your help.

Hey Pegasus69,

We understand that this compatibility feature will help and give you convenience. However, we don't have any news to share about applying this to the Nest app or Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this link to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Regards,

Emerson

Hi Pegasus69,

I’m sorry for the trouble here accessing your cameras ― let’s see what’s going on. Just to confirm, when signing into your Nest app, are you choosing the Sign in with Google or the Sign in with Nest option? To view both your 1st gen Nest doorbell and 2nd gen Nest cameras sign in using the Google Home app. @David_K is right, displaying your doorbell and cameras through NVIDIA Shield isn't an available feature.

I appreciate your help, davidking.

Thanks,

JT
