Nest Secure won’t connect to Wifi

We’ve had our secure for years no problem. Then last week it dropped the Wi-Fi and we can’t get it to connect for anything. We’ve done both the resets… holding down 2 and 5. Neither works. When we go through the add new product it won’t find any Wi-Fi. Please help. Nothings changed with our Wi-Fi. The silly nest screwed it self up somehow.

I'm having the same issue today. It's worked well for years. All other Nest devices are working. Nest Protect is offline.

Hey there,

I am terribly sorry to hear that you're having this issue! I would love to assist you with this issue. If you are having issues with your Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell, I would suggest that you first start by restarting it.

Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,

Brad

One thing I ran into was trying to get Nest Secure to work with the Google router. Nest Secure only works on the 2.4ghz network, so you have to make sure that you are connecting to WiFi that is running at 2.4ghz. The Nest Secure product is not very 'smart' and can't seem to connect to WiFi at 5ghz.

Thank you for sharing! Yeah if you have any issues, or feedback to provide, Google would love to know! I hope that you are able to find a compatible router.

Best regards,

Brad
