My Nest X Yale lock is unlocking and locking on its own. I have taken the batteries out twice, and turned off home/way but it is still running on its own. Just started happening this morning.

Is the Automatic re-lock option enabled in the lock settings. The Default is "no" but it can get reset. According to the paper manual, this can be reset from the lock keypad, but I haven't managed that either. My lock started doing this a few days ago. Mine does not seem to go back to factory defaults even after the internal rest button is pressed. I have no idea what is going on with it.

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on. A few questions: when did the issue start? Is your Home/Away Assist setting turned on in the Nest app? Do you have family members in your account? Also, do you have a pending iOS update and your Nest app is up to date?
