Hi- we just received our Nest Yale lock today. My husband got the lock on the door and tried to connect the Next Connect to our nest app. We currently use Nest Thermostat.
the nest connect will not connect.

we’ve reset the router/modem, restarted our phones, moved the the Nest Connect closer to modem, closer to thermostat. We’ve done everything we can find online and are at a complete loss. Help please!

thank you!

I am having a similar problem. I’ve had my Nest x Yale Lock for several months, and it’s worked perfectly fine. Just now, recently, it has lost connection with the Nest Connect unit and simply will not find/connect with the Nest Connect. My Nest Connect is working fine, connected as it’s always been with a strong signal. It is only about 8 feet away from the lock, with no obstructions. I have tried EVERYTHING Google/Nest has suggested and the lock still won’t connect to the Nest Connect. Please Help!!

Hey folks,

What I have gathered from some others on the forums, is that if you try setting up the Nest Connect to a 2.4Ghz wifi signal without any security, then it tends to connect easier. If you have the option to turn off your wifi security while adding it in, then it tends to work just fine. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Well, strangely this method worked, but I’m curiously puzzled as to why it only now works this way when it was working perfectly fine on my regular (secured) wifi for the past year since I purchased it! Nothing changed at all on my end. Was something changed by google/nest?

@JohnR0406

I know it's very strange, but I am relieved to hear that it worked for you! I am not super techy -  funny enough, so I know it has to do with resetting the transfer/connection. I also know that some iOS 15 users are having some issues at the moment, so that could be related. Just keep an eye out on it and please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Brad.
