For a while now, my lock would show offline and then online. I switched to the google nest wifi mesh. Everything is connected. The nest connect is connected to wifi with a good connection. The yale lock will not connect to the nest connect, the nest app sees the connect, but says to hold the button on the back of the lock until it flashes blue and the lock says ready. When I do that it flashes blue then just toggles privacy mode on and off. I have restarted the lock, by removing batteries for 20 seconds. I have also factory reset the lock twice and started over and it still won't connect.

I have the solution here. You will need to create a 2.4Ghz Wifi guest network if you do not already have one. Make sure there is no security on it. Connect your Nest Connect to the guest network and when you have done that connect your phone to the same network. Use the options or settings menu in the Nest application to find your connect. Once you get the Nest Connect on to your guest network you can then begin to pair your lock to your nest connect. Follow the steps to pair you Lock through the nest app.
This worked for me and for whatever reason the Nest Connect does not seem to like being on WiFi networks with security. Once you get it connected and paired to you lock you can rejoin your secure network but I have seen random connection issues with it on the secure wifi. I am going to go back to the unsecured guest and see if its better,

Yes I still need help. My app still won't find/add the lock. My Nest Connect is there and working.

I spent 2 hours the other day with support and they couldn't get it fixed either. The problem to me looks like the step where you press the button on the back and wait for the lock to say it's ready. Now it just toggles privacy mode, even when you hold it down.

Have you tried to Factory Reset your lock? I understand this may be an inconvenience, but it could help fix this issue. Learn how to Factory Reset here.

The factory reset worked, but what a PITA. There has to be an easier way? Thanks for blowing an hour of my life, Nest. Seriously, wtf!?
