Nest Yale lock kills batteries immediately

So, I’ve been having to change the batteries fairly often on the nest/yale lock, about once every 6 or 7 lock operations. Then I get the low battery warning and the batteries die. I put in Duracell Alkaline brand new batteries every time. This has been going on for a week now. 4 sets of brand new batteries. I have troubleshot and factory reset and the issue continues. The nest connect right beside the door. I received no help from Google support or Yale support. Yale provided me with a 20% off code for a new lock, but it turns out that can only be used in the US. I am in western Canada. Any help out there?

Hey JZ403,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and sharing all the steps you’ve taken to fix the issue. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Nest x Yale Lock. Let’s check it out.

Since a factory reset of the device didn’t help and you can’t use the discount code, the best thing to do now is to contact Yale Customer Support for warranty options.

All the best,

Lance
