Which "Nest cam" do you have? Does it go "offline"? How often? Has it always done this, or did this start recently? Have you tried putting the camera closer to your router or Wi-Fi access point temporarily to make sure the cause is not a weak Wi-Fi signal at the camera's current location? (I'm just another Google Nest customer.)

Hi @MplsCustomer

Thank you for your reply, I have the battery one which can be made wired, I have 2 of them one in the backyard and one in the front driveway also a doorbell cam, both the backyard, and doorbell cam work fine, they don't turn off. The front cam turns off at night sporadically and also sometimes in the day times. I don't get an intimation when the cam is turned off either. At first, I thought it was the wifi connection, and I set up a TP-Link wifi extender in the room outside where the cam is placed. Still, it turns off, I powered off the mains connecting the cam, but still no luck.

This has been the case since i bought it, and this is sporadic, at least twice a day.

@AravindKrish

You could try a restart (just a restart, so you keep all your settings) on your front driveway camera to see if that helps: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162?hl=en#zippy=%2Cnest-cam-battery-or-nest-cam-wit...

If that does not help, you could temporarily switch your front driveway camera (the one that is going offline twice a day) with one of your backyard cameras.

If your backyard camera starts going offline when it's placed in the front driveway location and your front driveway camera starts staying online when it's placed in the backyard, that would tell you the problem is your Wi-Fi signal strength in the front driveway.

On the other hand, if your front driveway camera keeps going offline when it's placed in the backyard, that would tell you something is wrong with the camera. You could then try a factory reset on the camera: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162?hl=en#zippy=%2Cnest-cam-battery-or-nest-cam-wit...

If that still doesn't work, you could contact Support to see if you need a replacement: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Hi @MplsCustomer,

Thank you for your suggestions, I've made a note of them, I don't have a ladder yet to reach the camera to try the reset step. I will surely let you know once I try all these options.

Hi @janthadeus,

Appreciate your follow-up, as I said, I will try and source a ladder first and then try these steps and will let you know the outcome.

I really appreciate the help here :),

Thanks,
