Removing Connect Device

I try and remove my Connect device from my Nest app, but it does nothing when I tap 'remove'. No acknowledgement or action. I factory reset the Connect device by pressing on the button and waiting for the yellow light, has this messed up the removal of the device in the Nest app?

The device doesn't show up in the Google Home app, so I can't remove it there.

Any advice as to how I can successfully delete it from the app is much appreciated.

Hi Seismo1,

I’m sorry to hear that and for the delayed response here. Let’s check — deleting the Connect is done in the Nest app not in the Google Home app.

Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to the Nest app.
  2. If you have another home, on the app home screen, tap Menu in the top left corner. Then select the home that has the product you'd like to remove.
  3. On the app home screen, tap Settings Nest settings icon.
  4. Tap the product you'd like to remove.
  5. Scroll down and select Remove Nest Connect (Product Name).
  6. You'll then be asked to confirm your choice.
