I have recently been getting a notification that the Nest security system has "no cellular backup". I did research online and came to find out that Nest is no longer supported by Brinks. (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Security/Nest-Secure-Cellular-Backup/m-p/111159)
When did this happen and how come I was not notified of said change. It seems ADT is the new security which allegedly supports Nest. When I spoke to the ADT rep to get a quote on the service I was told I had to re-purchase all the smoke detectors, door/window sensors and hub. I was not offered a stand alone service that did not require new devices from ADT.
From the the ADT website (https://www.adt.com/google#:~:text=Customers%20with%20ADT%20Command%20&%20Control,the%20compatible%2...) I found out that you need to primarily be connected to ADT and then be able to access those services with Nest/google products. If nest is getting replaced by ADT then I would like a refund for all the products and services sold to me as "security" because it seems they are worthless.

Yes. Can you answer when did brinks stop supporting Nest Security?

How come whenever I reached out to ADT they told me they only offer services by selling their own products which I already have the Nest version for?

Do I need to change to ADT to have cellular backup?

I don't know when they stopped off the top of my head. Not sure what the plan is for cellular backup. I would suggest you contact Support and ask those questions. That is not something that we handle in these community forums.
Best regards,
Brad
