Yale Lock + Nest Connect + Nest Hello - connected but not?

So Im tying to reconnect my Nest Connect to the network. The Yale Lock and the Nest Hello are "connected" but when I try to add the nest connect, it looks for the nest hello to "assist with connection" but after 3 seconds or so it gives me a random NC0xx number.

I found a thread where someone purchased a new nest connect and still couldn't get his going, but I followed the directions he was provided (delete the nest app, restart phone, reinstall app, etc.) and that made the nest hello "look" like it was trying to connect longer than the previous times, but still didn't work.

The nest connect is now a factory re-setted product as I tried that too with no luck. Whatever pixie dust work around can help would be appreciated as the lock features have been down for some time. More importantly, everything seems to be invisibly connected as in I can go to the app and see the cameras on for the front door and other cameras, but when i attempt to "update" that connection, its a hard pass.

Hi JOKALOMO,

I apologize for the ongoing connectivity issues you're experiencing with your Nest Connect and associated devices. In situations like this, it's best to follow a systematic approach to troubleshoot the problem. Here are a few additional steps you can try:

  1. During the setup process, make sure the Nest Connect device is in close proximity to your Wi-Fi router and other connected Nest devices. This can help ensure a strong and stable connection.
  2. Verify that your Wi-Fi network meets the necessary requirements for the Nest Connect device. Ensure that it supports the required frequency (2.4 GHz) and security settings (WPA2-PSK recommended).
  3. If possible, temporarily disable any guest networks or network features that might interfere with the connectivity of the Nest Connect device. Also, ensure that there are no conflicting wireless devices in close proximity that could cause interference.
  4. Try using a different smartphone or tablet to set up the Nest Connect. This can help determine if the issue is specific to your mobile device.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Zoe
