Yale Lock Replace Batter

cbobash1

I keep getting low battery alerts after replacing the batteries (AA alkaline).  Just installed new ones two days ago, and received yet another low battery alert.  I enter the house thru the garage and only open this door to retrieve mail, so it is not from over use.  The temperature is in the 50s so it is not weather related.  Any suggestions/solutions as this is getting ridiculous.  Thx

Hi cbobash1,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and sharing all the steps you’ve tried to fix the issue. I’d be happy to help you with the Nest x Yale Lock. Let’s check it out.

To completely isolate the hardware issue, please reset the lock to factory settings.

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Remove the batteries.
  3. Unscrew the two screws that hold the interior lock.
  4. Remove the interior lock from the backplate.
  5. Hold down the factory reset button while they reinsert the batteries.
  6. Once there are 4 beeps, release the factory reset button.

Here’s a video guide for your reference: How to reset your Nest × Yale Lock

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Lance
