This is happening with me too. Every time I try to add the lock, it asks me to install the nest connect (which i already have and which shows as connected) but when i try to connect the lock to nest connect, it provides error T030

Yes. The same issue to me. I doubt nest app do not support 2 homes in 1 account.

I only have 1 account and 1 home 😞

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest x Yale Lock and Nest Connect won't connect and are not working as expected. But no need to worry, help's here!

I understand that you already followed basic troubleshooting (like reset and restart) to pair you Nest devices, here are some advanced troubleshooting steps that you can check:

Please make sure to review the process to Factory reset the Nest × Yale Lock because it can be the reason why it has issues to get paired.

In addition, please check the following troubleshooting steps if the pairing error code is T030 during the process:

  1. Quit and restart the Nest app or Google Home app.
  2. Restart the phone or tablet.
  3. Make sure the assisting device is awake and within pairing distance (maximum of 2 to 3 meters).
  4. Restart the assisting product (Example: the Nest Connect when pairing a Nest × Yale Lock).
  5. Put the mobile device or tablet on Airplane mode, then turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  6. Try a different mobile device or tablet.
  7. Restart the network equipment (router, extender, or modem).
  8. For Nest × Yale Lock only: Verify that the cable from the keypad is seated securely.
  9. For devices that use Thread networks, enable Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).
  10. Reset the joining device to defaults.
  11. Try to manually enter the entry key instead of scanning.
  12. Test with a mobile hotspot.
  13. For Nest × Yale Lock only: Remove the batteries from the lock for 60 seconds.
  14. Create a new home structure and try to pair the problematic Nest device.

The maximum number of homes you can have in the Nest app depends on what account you use to sign in.

  1. If you sign in with a Google Account, you can have up to 5 homes in your account.
  2. If you sign in with a Nest account, you can have up to 3 homes.

Please check these good articles to Troubleshoot offline or disconnected Nest ConnectNest × Yale Lock disconnected or offline, to Troubleshoot connection errors during Nest × Yale Lock setup and to  Set up Nest Connect in case it is needed.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Mario

When I go through the nest x Yale setup flow, every time I try to add the lock, it asks me to install the nest connect ,which i already have and which shows as connected, but when i try to connect the lock to nest connect, it provides error T030.

I have factory reset and gone through this process multiple times. I have also done this via a 2.4ghz network after resetting since i read that might help. Nothing gets me around error T030.
