Yale smart alarm keypad issue

BGdub
Community Member

I'm trying to set up a routine whereby the nest thermostat will turn off when the yale smart alarm is activated.

I've been able to set up routines that activate the alarm by voice command and turn off the thermostat. But it won't recognise the instruction/ routine if the alarm is activated from the keypad.

I've unlinked the yale account and relinked it but that didn't work.

Any idea why this routine won't work and how to fix it? Thanks

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, I would love to look into this further for you. If you haven't already, you can learn here how to factory reset your Yale lock, which may help to reset issues it may be having. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Brad

Hi Brad, thanks for your reply.

I don't have a yale lock. The issue is the when seeing the alarm from the keypad, the routine I've set up won't turn off the best thermostat. I've tried adding a light to the routine and it won't turn that on either.

Should i still try a factory reset?

Thanks.

@BGdub

Sorry for my late response, but I do think that a factory reset would still help you out. It is up to you if you wish to do so. If you still experience this again, please let me know, or reach out to support.

Best regards,

Brad
