nest x yale lock batteries draining

jtlamotte

I have replaced the batteries in one of my nest x yale locks twice within the month due to the lock and app saying that the batteries needed changing. I have used duracell and energizer with the same problem. my nest connect is right under the lock so there is no distance issue. my other lock that was installed at the same time has only had the batteries changed once a year and it is the most used lock. any help or suggestions?

Hey folks,

Sorry for my late response, I just want to make sure that you are getting the assistance you require. Thank you for your patience. It sounds like you are having some battery issues with your Nest Yale lock. My main suggestion is to make sure that you are always using the correct batteries which are 4 AA batteries. Please do not use rechargeable batteries.

If you are still running into this issue, please reach out to Yale for support of your lock. You can find their support page here.

Best Regards,

Brad C.
