My Google Home speaker has not been plugged in for a very long time. I’m trying to set it up again. It keeps updating. I have deleted my Google Home app, reinstalled. I have factory reset the Google Home speaker. I have unplugged it 10 times. It initially connects to my phone but when it is updating it takes hours and will not finish. What can I try?

My new out of the box Google Home Mini is doing exactly the same. I followed the above instructions at least 20 times, no success……Is it a defective product?
