Hi, I’m having the same issues as the original poster, except I’m setting up my device for the first time (i.e., it has never been connected to my wifi). I have followed all the steps you suggested above and it still isn’t working. When I try to connect to the Nest Hub’s wifi hotspot as you suggested, my phone will connect but will tell me that there is no internet connection, and when I go back into the Google Home app that network is not available on the network selection screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I could use some help. I purchased my first Google Nest Hub this past Tuesday, June 21, 2022. At first I was able to set it up, then after 20 minutes it disconnected and I cannot regain the connection. I have Google Nest Doorbell Camera, Google Chromecast, and 3 Google Pixel phones connected to same network. But not the Nest Hub.
I have rebooted router, reset Nest Hub and nothing works. I contacted Google support and they were not able to assist. Basically told me the same stuff I already did.
I am at the point where I plan to return item back to Lowes, but decided to see if someone online can help.
I will appreciate any suggestions or advice you can share.

I cannot get the newly purchased product to connect to WiFi for initial setup even after following all troubleshooting steps.

Same problem, my Google Home (Nest Hub) that has worked for years now can't connect to the network. I've rebooted router. I'm able to connect directly to Nest Hub Wifi, but setup doesn't complete. I've tried setting up a new guest wifi network, but same result. I've factory reset multiple times. I have numerous other Google devices that have not lost connection.

I was trying and repeatedly failing to get it setup using my Samsung S20FE that was recently updated to Android 12 and Samsung One UI 4.0. Then I tried setting it up with the Home app on my iPad and it worked the first time. Maybe the Home app on Android 12 is having issues?

I have the same problem, the network isn't available if you have your phone connected to the hub. However I have been able to register the hub on google home by doing this, but still not able to connect to WiFi. Have also tried everything suggested including different WiFi connections. My other devices are working fine.

Same issue. 1.5 hours in and still it won't connect to wifi. 6 other nest devices connected fine. Thermostat just won't connect. Tried resetting, rebooting everything. Tried both networks etc.... Just won't connect.

I finally sorted this out buy creating a new home in the Google Home app and linking the thermostat to the new home. Not ideal but I don't have time to sort it any further.

Got exactly the same issue and when hotspotting from my mobile, it works. This indicates an issue with my home network but now the challenge is working out exactly what that is. If anyone has come across this and has a solution, would love to know

I'm having the same issue. My wifi has never been ############ feet from my device and it was never a problem. It just quit working. I have a new wifi system and it still won't connect. It's frustrating. My Google Home works, very slow though, but not the nest.

My Nest Hub Max have worked fine for two years. I changed my router and setup wifi as before (same name/same password). All devices in the house re-connected including many Google Nest devices (Hello, Protect, Mini 2nd gen,...) and Chromecasts' (3rd gen, 2nd gen, Google TV, Audio,...). But the Nest Hub Max simply won't connect! Tried factory reset etc. Any body who has discovered a solution?

Hi everyone! I have faced the same issue after installing a new mesh router. I followed all the suggested steps here with no luck. I looked up how to factory reset the display and the Wifi setup worked like a charm after that. In order to factory reset it, you just gotta press both volume buttons in the back and hold for 10 seconds. I hope that helps!

After trying everything mentioned so far my hub now freezes if I reboot or factory reset. I have now given up and purchased a new next-gen nest hub. Quite an increase in price on the original but all good.

I am also having the same problem. After the factory reset, all I get is a white screen...please help. Thanks!

Having the same problem. Any solutions available? I figured something was updated and now my old generation nest hubs are not working, everything else went down and the newer items rebooted themselves. The nest hub max did not.

I had the same issue, two Google home minis in my house were randomly no longer available as options to stream to from Spotify. I reset them, went through the setup process using the Google Home app on my iPhone and on the last step of the setup process, connecting to wifi failed.
Turns out the issue is that I had DFS Channels enabled on my router, once I turned that option off I was able to complete the setup on my minis and everything worked as normal. I assume my router picked a channel that the minis didn't like, which is why they couldn't connect.
Hope this helps for everyone having issues!

Having exact same issue

I went into the advanced router settings and made sure that every SSID had the same password, and this fixed it for me.

This happened to me as well I tried everything and was just about to get a new router well I ended up doing is taking it to A completely different place. This than brought up all of the start up information and set up of the home device . Then when I brought it home again it worked. That’s what fixed it for me

I got the same problem as everyone else!
What resolved my problem : Uninstalling the Home app and installing back again.
Hope it helps others.

Is Google not monitoring this situation? Same here, got a new router with the same login, and had to redo all the Google home devices. Nest hub still won't connect after factory reset, rebooting router, trying to install the Nest hub on a different network. Nothing. I want Google to replace it with a new one since this appears to be a problem with how they designed it or an upgrade/update issue.

Having the same issues as everyone above. Mine is a older Google Home device. Recently upgraded to a WiFi 6 router.
What's different for me is right after it was installed I put it on wifi no problem. The next day, it won't connect at all. I've gone through all manner of resets and reboots of the device and the app.
Another thing is that when I try to get it on wifi my phone loses the wifi signal, only when I am trying to setup.

You all are going to love me! The reason that you can't connect is because of the VPN you have installed on your iPhone.
You need to go to your settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Select the "i" next to the VPN you have installed, then switch off the "connect on-demand." Then go back to your settings and verify your VPN isn't connected. After, go back to the google home app and set up your Google Nest Wifi!

I was trying to install the hub from my Galaxy S22 with no success, even though I had set the hub back to factory default. I decided to try adding it via my Galaxy A7 tablet and it worked on the first try. Try changing the device that you're using to add the hub back to the network.

I was having the same problem and Google hinted i had to use a gmail.com account.
I did and then it started working, they said they changed their platform awhile ago and had to use the gmail acc.

For me I could connect again after unplugging the nest hub then there was instant connection.

Add another person to the list experiencing this problem! In my case absolutely nothing has changed recently. I've had the same router, the hub has been in the same location, no settings have been changed over the past 6 months. Everything worked fine up until this weekend and suddenly the hub cannot connect to the internet. It is intermittent with mine and if I unplug and re-plug it in, it finds the internet fine....and then looses it at some point.
I reset the router, did a factory reset on the hub, and re-added it to home and that didn't fix it. I have a Pixel 6 Pro and various other google products that are working fine. I'm at a loss unless something was changed on the backend this weekend, because we haven't changed anything.

Almost exactly the same problems with my Google Nest Hub: since last weekend intermittent "Check Internet Connection" error... No changes in my WiFi setup and ALL my other devices have a full WiFi connection, including an Google Nest Mini. Taking the power plug in and out of the Hub helps (instant WiFi connection after a reboot), as does resetting the device to factory settings, but only for 30min-2hrs, then the "Check Internet Connection error" reappears... Very frustrating!
