Using Point as speaker only - pulsing white light

taniaabel

I've connected my Nest Wifi Point as a speaker only (without the base) and it's working as intended but the point keeps pulsing a white light. Is there any way to turn it off? My app says the point is all setup and I can't find any additional steps I might have missed. TIA!

Do you intend to use it for voice activation? If you are not, you can try muting the mic and turn off the orange light to see if it helps.

Hey taniaabel,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

@LFS: Thanks for helping here.

Please note that once your device is set up, the light will pulse white when interacting with your Google Assistant. This is working properly. The light will also pulse white when you have a notification or reminder. This will last for 10 minutes or until the person assigned the reminder asks “Ok Google, what are my reminders?" Visit this link to know more.

Currently, there's no option to turn off the LED light on your Nest WiFi point but you can always adjust the brightness by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings > Lights.
  4. Under “Bottom light brightness,” adjust the brightness of the device’s light.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muddi
