I'm sure everyone else has the same issue but why is it that it the chromecast won't show more than a few photos at all. Sick of seeing the same photos again and again when there are hundreds.

It does that because it had "a mind if his own", so to speak, making its own selection based on various parameters, like exposure, quality, framing, etc.

I assume you have set the album to the "Personal Photo Curation" to LIVE ALBUMS ONLY. In theory, this means Google shouldn't do any photo selection unless you have an auto populating album.
IN REALITY, it doesn't work this way and there seems to be no way to fix it. I have an album I manually add to myself and my favorites album. If I select them both, Google only displays my favorites - not a single photo in the other album with 600 pictures. And even if I just select the other album by itself, I see the same photo multiple times a day.
Not sure what is going on with their algorithm, but messed up.
