I cast from laptop to TCL TV. I use Chromecast instead of TV's own connectivity, but the problem happens with both casting options.
Voice keeps cutting off, like non-stop morse code. Weird thing is it only happens when I have NOT Chrome on top in my laptop. Switch to any other program, could be Word, other browser, any app... Problem appears only then. If I put the same tab on top in my laptop, problem goes away. And returns if Chrome is not on top in my laptop.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. This seems to be more about the Chrome browser than the Chromecast device. Are you experiencing this when you’re casting from smartphones or tablets with cast-enabled apps (YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, etc.)? It’s as if it’s trying to render when the Chrome browser is not the focused application as the casting source (laptop, computer, etc.) uses different applications.
I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround.
