Chromecast 2 and android 7.0

Hello, i havethe same prob as many, with one more, my tablet is under android 7.0, and it's impossible to install the new home versions. Before ur updates everything was going well. I tried to reset all but if i can connect the tablet to the Chromecast, it's still impossible to cast. Clearly you have banned my tablet from my chromecast, it's not fair. Please give me the solution in order i can cast my photos on my tv as usual, before ur upgrade without any possibility to refuse it.

It sounds like your Android 7.0 tablet is no longer compatible with Chromecast after a recent update. Here are some possible solutions:

  1. Check for App Updates – Make sure Google Home and Google Play Services are fully updated. Older versions may no longer work with Chromecast.

  2. Use an Older Version of Google Home – If updates broke compatibility, try installing an older APK version of Google Home from a trusted source.

  3. Try a Third-Party Casting App – Apps like AllCast or LocalCast might still work for streaming photos.

  4. Factory Reset Chromecast – Reset your Chromecast and try setting it up again with your tablet.

  5. Use Another Device – If possible, try casting from a newer phone or tablet to confirm whether the issue is specific to Android 7.0.
