It's a couple of days that my Chromecast Ultra stopped being recognized by my phone (OnePlus Nord, OxygenOS 12.1) after working flawlessy for over a year.
As suggested online, I've tried to power off the Chromecast, change the power adapter, place it near the router and even tried the factory reset many times, but it keeps showing the same problem.
The problem is that during the setup, after the factory reset, my Google Home app (ver. 3.0.1.9) recognize it and let me enter the different info (check code, room info, wifi info) but, in the last stage, when the Chromecast shows on the TV the message "it's almost done" (it is set in my native language so the phrasing can be a little different in english) and I have to connect my phone to my Wifi to check if everything went well, the mobile app keeps showing the same message "I can't find the Chromecast" even after many retries and even if the TV I plugged the Chromecast Ultra shows that it's connected to Wifi (it shows time and weather info on screen).
Actually I can stream on it using my laptop, so I'm sure that the Chromecast Ultra is connected on my Wifi, and that the fault is not on my phone because I have another Chromecast (3rd gen) in another room that it's recognized and accessible using my phone or my laptop.
May someone help me solve this problem?

I've tried all those steps (most of them even before posting my first message) but any of those works.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Kenjistar, thanks for confirming, and sorry for the delay. I just wanted to follow up to see if you still need our help. Try to update your Google Home app once more and observe if it makes a difference. You can also use another phone to isolate it.
