Chromecast, YouTube Music (and others) skip initial second of tracks

For some reason, when new tracks start on YouTube Music or others, the first second (or some fractional part thereof) of all songs is skipped/silent.  It does not happen if the "previous track" button is tapped to start it over, or if I rewind via the progress bar on my phone.  But, skip to next track or move to next track in a playlist and the initial bits are not played, as if someone dropped the needle too far into the song.

I've looked for similar problems here, but most things about "skip" in them refers to entire tracks.

Quick questions — have you tried to cast using a different app like Spotify? If yes, how was it? Please try to uninstall and reinstall the YouTube Music app. Using a different mobile phone might also help.
