Chromecast audio drops

I'm having this problem with my Chromecast dongle. Was working fine for years. I have another one in my living room entertainment center and they are grouped. Whether I play separately or simultaneously only one drops audio for 1-3 seconds. Also this one randomly pauses on its own.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast devices are you using? When did it start? Is this only happening in one app or across all apps? What steps have you taken?

 

Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  • Plug your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
  • Reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router.
  • Reboot your Chromecast device.
  • If it fails, try a factory reset, then re-setup.
  • Try it on another TV to isolate it.
