My new Chromecast keeps buffering. Restarting chromecast will fix the issues but the next day or even in few hours when I turn it back on it is buffering again. It again gets fixed when I restart the chromecast
I updated my router, restarted it but that did not help
I have chromecast 3rd gen on my other tv and never had these issues
Any idea?
thank you!

When did the issue started? Last week atfer the April 2023 Update? Do you have the same issue like this user?
If yes, send feedback to Google:

I had this issue before the update. And no, it is different that the other user. It is the same with all the apps. It buffers but it will load in few seconds. and then again in 30sec-1minute, the video stops again for few seconds. When I restart the chromecast there is no buffereing and everything runs fine. It just seem weird I had to restart the chromecast every day, sometime twice a day

I had this issue before the April 2023 update (didn't know there was one until this topic!) and had tried the various remedies with no success until I came across one which suggested buying and installing an HDMI extender. This took the Chromecast dongle from the TV to the end of the HDMI cable just under 1 metre away from my TV. There was an immediate improvement with no buffering/spinning - until last weekend 15/16 April when it started again. I went back to this article and followed the suggestion of Power Cycling which so far has stopped the dreaded problem. I hope this may help you too.

@Zzjan, thank you for the details. Could you try to connect to a mobile hotspot? Let me know how it goes.

Just as a PS to my earlier post, since using an HDMI extender lead I've had no buffering at all. At £7.99 a great cost effective solution. 👍

Thanks Kimy. I will try the extender and I will get in touch if it does not fix the issue.
