Hi

I am trying to reconnect my Chromecast remote tot my tv after using it on another tv. Normally I press the homebutton and the backbutton at the same time and follow the instructions on the tv. This works fine except this time. It doesn't deel to work. I have already replaced the batterijen but that doesn't help either.

Try This.

Unplug power cord for 3 seconds, then plug back in.

Pair remote again: hold Back + Home buttons for 3 seconds until light blinks.

Check Chromecast for updates in settings.

Use phone as remote if Chromecast has Google TV: download Google TV Remote app.

I'm happy to help you troubleshoot the issue with your Chromecast remote!

Since you've already replaced the batteries, let's try a few other things to get your Chromecast remote connected to your TV:

1. **Restart your Chromecast**: Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve the issue. Unplug your Chromecast from power, wait for 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. This will restart the device.
2. **Reset your Chromecast remote**: To reset your Chromecast remote, press and hold the back and play/pause buttons simultaneously for 25 seconds. Release the buttons when the LED light starts flashing. This will reset the remote to its default settings.
3. **Check for interference**: Other devices in your home might be interfering with the Chromecast signal. Try moving other devices that use the same frequency band (e.g., cordless phones, microwaves) away from your Chromecast.
4. **Check for software updates**: Ensure that your Chromecast is running the latest software. Go to the Google Home app, navigate to the Chromecast settings, and check for any available updates.
5. **Reset your TV's HDMI settings**: Sometimes, TV settings can cause issues with device connectivity. Try resetting your TV's HDMI settings to their default values.
6. **Try pairing again**: After restarting your Chromecast and resetting your remote, try pairing the remote with your TV again. Follow the usual steps: press and hold the home and back buttons simultaneously until the LED light starts flashing.

If none of these steps work, it's possible that there's an issue with your Chromecast or remote that requires further assistance. You can try contacting Google support for additional help or consider reaching out to a professional technician for assistance.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue and get your Chromecast remote connected to your TV!
