Chromecast with Google tv stuck on loading screen

Since a few days my Chromecast is stuck on the loading screen you see after booting. I already tried unplugging and using the reset button several times but it's still stuck. 

How can I fix this?

Could you tell us, how you performed the factory reset?

Have you tried the steps in this guide?

1. Factory Reset
2. Set up a Chromecast

I can't reset it via the menu since it's stuck in the loading screen and the reset button doesn't respond even if I kept pushing the button for a good minute.

BTW this is the loading screen in talking about. Yesterday I had my Chromecast running for a few hours and it was still stuck but the colors are moving
