Device option disappearance

My device list is missing one of the options for casting to. I have 2 choices there should be 3. Please advise.

Hi Jlgc,

 

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device do you have connected to your TV(s)? How many do you have? If not all are Chromecast devices, what are the other casting devices that you have? Is it only happening on one app or on all apps? Is this happening on other smartphones or devices?

 

Try these steps if they will help:

 

  • Reboot the affected Chromecast device.
  • Reboot the router.
  • Reinstall the app (if it’s just a single app).
  • Reboot the smartphone or device (if it’s just one device).
  • If it persists, try a factory reset for a full clean-up on the affected Chromecast device.
  • Set it up from scratch and observe if it still has the same behavior.
