Google chromecast

So I already have the chromecast hooked up to my tv and already did a factory reset  2-3 times on my chromecast and it started blinking white and It’s showing a screen where it says welcome to get started download the google home app on your phone or tablet and I did so and then when it downloaded i did the prompts on the app as told so and when I set up new device it won’t let me or pick up my chromecast on the app for me to change my wifi on the chrome cast or let me add the chromecast at all to the google home app and I’m trying to get past this welcome screen after resetting my chromecast

Hi, I have a solution which works for me - 

  1. Reset your Chromecast.
  2. Connect your phone's Wi-Fi manually to your Chromecast’s service set identifier (SSID) [which is the name of the chromecast which usually says "chromecast[1234]" on the lower left of your TV screen].
    1. Open your phone’s Settings app 
    2. tap Wi-Fi  
    3. connect to the Chromecast SSID.
  3. Open the Google Home app and try setup again. Voila!
