The Chromecast is connected with the wifi and appears in the tv

Are you in a Chromecast supported country?

Chromecast with Google TV is only supported in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom, United States (except Puerto Rico).
