Imposible conectar control a Chromecast

Hi @Zoraida199,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Chromecast with Google TV remote is completely unresponsive. I understand how frustrating this is when a device stops working, and I appreciate you reaching out for help.

To help me understand the situation and provide the best solution, could you please provide a few more details?

  • How long was the remote functional before it completely stopped responding?
  • What type of batteries are you using? Are they the original ones that came with the device, or have you replaced them?
  • Are there any error messages displayed on your TV screen related to the remote? If so, could you please describe them or share a picture?

In the meantime, let's try some of the most effective steps to get your remote working again.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Reboot your streaming device: Unplug your Chromecast from its power source, wait for at least one minute, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches that prevent the remote from connecting.
  • Check and replace the batteries: Remove the batteries from the remote for at least 10 seconds. Then, reinsert a new pair of 1.5V AAA batteries. As you do this, check if the LED light on the remote blinks at all. Make sure to replace both batteries, not just one.
  • Inspect the battery compartment: Take a close look at the battery compartment for any signs of debris, a battery leak, or oxidation (a rusty appearance). If you see any, gently clean it with a small metallic object, like a flat-head screwdriver, being careful not to damage the terminals. Then, reinsert the batteries and check if the remote works.

Please let me know the answers to the questions above and the outcome of these steps. Your feedback will help us determine the next course of action.

Regards,

Kevin
