Issues logging in kids account on streamer

I am having trouble logging in my kids accounts. It keeps returning to the enter password page after succesfully logging in, and seeing the proces bar. After multiple attempts, it gives me an error saying the software on my Google TV streamer is not compatible with a kids account.

This is driving me mad! They sent an email to say it’s fixed, problem is still the same. Been like this for the past week

Still not working on 9/14/25.

Can add main accounts, just not child accounts. Authorization loop still.

Thanks for your responses. We've fully rolled out a fix for this issue. To get it, please factory reset your Google TV streamer. You can check out the following article for information about how to factory reset your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer.

I can confirm it’s now working and I did not need to reset the device

But signing in as a kid on YT app is not working
