Hi guys, I have just purchased a Google streamer and I'm in the process of setting it up on my Sony TV. I have plugged it into the HDMI and plugged it in to power via the dongle, the LED light on the back of the streamer is flashing quickly and I cannot find it in the home app. I have tried rebooting both the router, the home app and the streamer without any change. My Wi-Fi router is visible and available on both 2.4 and 5 GHz.
I have tried to do a reboot of the device by holding the button for 10 to 12 seconds, but the LED continues to flash quickly at the same rate without any change. Can anyone help or have I got a dud?

What colour is the LED light on the device? Is it slowly pulsing white which means its ready for setup?
Chromecast and Google TV Streamer LED light - Streaming Help
You may already have tried some of these steps but I'll link to them in full:
Need help with setup? Troubleshoot common Chromeca… - Google Nest Community
They refer to Chromecast, but apply equally to Google TV streamer.

I have tried all of the steps recommended above but still can't find the device! The white led is flashing on the back of the streamer but i cannot find it anywhere. I have tried to do a device reset by pressing the button for 12 seconds but nothing changes... Led keeps flashing white. I have tried different devices with the home app but none of them find the device...

Do you see the setup Wi-Fi network being broadcast by the device in your phone's Wi-Fi settings? (Refer to the "alternate setup steps" in the link I shared above.)

No, it is not showing up in wifi networks on 2 different devices...

I had enough and took it back to the retailer and swapped for another one. All good, worked straight away. There was obviously an issue with the first one.. thanks for your help.
