When opening Chromecast, it only allows "Edit Ambient Mode" and "Watch live TV" no ability to cast

When opening Chromecast and selecting device, it opens to "Edit Ambient Mode" and "Watch live TV" with no menu option to "Cast to Screen" on my iPad.  I've reset the device, the router, the iPad, uninstalled the app and reinstalled and still no "Cast to Screen" option provided.  It works fine on my Android devices.

Apple does not support that option.  That is why you can't find it.

Apple only allows native-casting (using the cast-icon in cast-enabled apps).  There is no option for general mirroring of the screen like you find in Android devices.

You can still use the 10s of thousands of cast-enabled apps on your iPad.  But, you cannot mirror.
