I'm trying to change WIFI networks. Google says to go the the HOME app, did that, click on the tile for my device, did that, then it says to; Tap Device information Wi-Fi Forget this network.
WHERE????
Where TF does it say that?????
IT DOESN'T SAY THAT!!!!! WTF is it with google that you can't even get your freakin instructions STRAIGHT????
You SUCK!

I think you're referring to these steps which explain how to change the Wi-Fi network for Chromecast. There's definitely room for improvement to make it clearer. You want to tap the settings/cog icon at the top right first then you'll see the settings, one of which is "Device information".
If you've already changed to a different Wi-Fi network, the steps above won't work. Instead try these steps:
If those steps don’t solve the issue, you’ll need to factory reset your Chromecast, then set it up again using your new Wi-Fi network and password. If you're using Chromecast with Google TV, follow these setup steps instead.
Instead of factory resetting your Chromecast, if you're comfortable changing your router settings, you can change your new Wi-Fi network name and password in your router's settings to be the same as the previous ones. Your device should then automatically connect to the Wi-Fi.

Thank you very much, I'm up and running/casting again. My change in wifi networks was sudden so it had already been changed by the time I tried to follow the instructions. I apologize for my language and attitude, I'd had it by the time I typed that...no excuse.
Anyway, up and running again, thank you for the alternate path

No problem, glad you're back up and running!

Me too, Thanks.
Just curious as to how asking about chromecast got me on a Nest Community Forum?
Not really important, just glad to be back up and streaming.
Stay cool

Just happens to be where Google decided to move it to during various community platform decisions and migrations. Branding is a challenge even for Google 🙂
