Why do only some apps let me cast?

When I use my iPhone to cast Disney+ I can cast fine but I can’t cast for other apps like Spotify or Kayo- it tells me there are no devices discoverable. My partner has issues casting anything from his android.

Still having trouble. Have tried all trouble shooting methods. When I go into the Google home app it tells me both devices are offline when they aren't.

Thanks for coming back to us. To confirm, have you tried using a different phone/tablet to check if you have the same issue? Are you using a dual-band router? Also, could you share the troubleshooting steps that you've done?

Hi. I have tried using multiple devices, uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, factory resetting the chromecast, resetting my internet modem, turned off mobile data, I don’t have a VPN but have ensured that my privacy settings are as suggested on the troubleshooting page, I have updated all devices operating systems, have the most up to date Google Home app, have rebooted all my devices. I tried to do it by the manual connection process but the Chromecast isn't appearing in my wifi networks.

Appreciate the effort but, could you confirm what troubleshooting steps have you done so far? Which type of Chromecast do you have? Have you tried reinstalling the Spotify app from your phone to see if that makes a difference?
